9 National seminar in Romania"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The IENE 9 National seminar in Romania was organized by<strong> \u00a0<\/strong>Edunet \u00a0Organization \u00a0<strong>\u00a0in\u00a0 <\/strong>\u00a0Craiova, on \u00a025th of February \u00a02021<\/p>\n<p>The aims of the seminars were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>to increase awareness and knowledge about the inclusion of LGBT+ issues in health and social care curricula;<\/li>\n<li>to motivate discussion and share good practices of including LGBT+ issues in health and social<\/li>\n<li>care curricula;<\/li>\n<li>to share the project outputs created for the teaching of LGBT+ issues to in health and social care (training model, curriculum, learning resources and the MOOC);<\/li>\n<li>to increase the knowledge of participants on the topic;<\/li>\n<li>to raise awareness about the advantages and challenges of using the model, curriculum and<\/li>\n<li>teaching tools created;<\/li>\n<li>to network, share experiences, interests and goals about the training activities that can be<\/li>\n<li>developed with the project outputs (curriculum, training\/learning materials, MOOC methodology and content);<\/li>\n<li>to gain the participants&#8217; views and suggestions regarding the sustainability of our project results;<\/li>\n<li>to direct participants to the projects outputs and motivate them to use in their practice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The seminar was \u00a0attended by 28 \u00a0stakeholders: nurses ,\u00a0\u00a0 teachers, managers, local authorities, nurses&#8217;\u00a0 associations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The agenda <\/strong>\u00a0of the seminar \u00a0included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Presentation of the project activities and outputs including :<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Assessing the needs of teachers\/trainers and learners for LGBT+ training<\/li>\n<li>Development of the curriculum and training model<\/li>\n<li>Development of the modules for the MOOC content<\/li>\n<li>Evaluation strategy, methodology and best practice report<\/li>\n<li>Internet Mapping and Systematic documentation of educational policies and guidelines as well as legislation at European and national level for LGBT+ inclusive education<\/li>\n<li>Teaching\/learning tools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Presentation of the \u00a0\u00a0MOOC \u00a0and a\u00a0 workshop on how to use it;<\/li>\n<li>Discussion to exchange ideas on ways to use the project results;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To collect feedback for measuring the potential impact of the project\u2019s outputs\u00a0 an\u00a0 evaluation questionnaire was administrated \u00a0to the participants.<\/p>\n<p>The participants declared that they \u00a0developed their knowledge and \u00a0skills of culturally competent and compassionate health and social care, \u00a0increased awareness, sensitivity and knowledge about LGBT+ issues, got\u00a0 \u00a0new attitude and values relating to LGBT+ inclusive health and social care, got familiar with the MOOC and\u00a0 the inclusive health and social care curriculum and tools<\/p>\n<p>They also \u00a0had \u00a0opportunities to meet and network with those having shared interests and goals and went back \u00a0\u00a0with \u00a0new ideas and concept \u00a0to their institution\u00a0 to use \u00a0the European model approach developed in the project to better \u00a0meet the needs of LGBT+ patients\/service users in health and
